As a state religion with constitutional rank, Islam shapes culture and public life. Despite the long Christian tradition in the country, Christians remain a marginalized and often threatened minority.

In Cairo, AVC works with a free church congregation. She is passionate about sharing the good news with people near and far. So in early 2021, it joined hundreds of churches in a nationwide network. The common goal is to invite people to faith in Jesus Christ through social media, personal talk and literature.

In the immediate vicinity of the congregation, a project has been in place since 2011 that primarily reaches children living in poverty. In addition to a hearty meal, social and spiritual needs are also satisfied through games and children's programs.
